I've been out doing some reading today, and learned about a new car due out in 2009, and I'm telling you this makes me all giddy just like a school girl on prom night, it's the re-release of the ZR1 Corvette, and if you don't think that this is exciting, well them it's possible your not a car freak, this car is a fire breathing monster, with 650 HP from the factory, and not to mention it looks awesome, I'm glad to see that Chevy has decided that they need to keep improving the Corvette because it is an awesome car that should never go by the way side.
Here are the specs that I have at this time ZR1 Corvette Specs, this car is not for the weak of heart, you'd better be ready for what it car deliver, the ZR1 will first appear in January 2008 at the Detroit auto show, with the production version set to go on sale later next year as a 2009 model. GM has been developing the car for several years, using a supercharged version of the new 6.2-liter small-block V-8 used in the 2008 Corvette, which reportedly will be called the LS9.
The annual production numbers are limited, and expected to be in the 1,500 - 1,700 range, this means that your not going to see them at every dealership, it more them likely be the same as the ZO6 Corvette was, and only the platinum dealers will have access to these cars, obviously this car car in every person's budget range, as the base price is expected to be in the $100,000 range.
The LS9 is a 6.2-liter, supercharged, small-block V-8. Output figures haven't yet been finalized, so look for it to come in somewhere in the 600-650 horsepower range, the engine will use an integrated intake manifold inter cooler to cool the air and fuel mixture entering the manifold, the car is reportedly capable of a screaming 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds, nothing to laugh at, this car is a busier, and could mangle you in a split instant.
The Corvette's expected top speed is in the 200 MPH range, making this car a true contender for the heavyweight belt, it will most undoubtedly give any German car a rune for it's money, the Corvette is a staple for Chevrolet, and I'm glad to see them working it as hard as they are, it can bring nothing but good things for a American muscle freak like me.

Milgem Class Corvette $71.7 Ada or Milgem class corvette, from the Turkish words Milli Gemi, is the name of one of two Turkish national warship programs; the purpose of which is to build a modern littoral combat warship with indigenous capabilities, extensively using the principles of stealth technology in its design.
